1. App purpose and scope
nextSurf provides tide, ocean and weather forecasts, including AI-generated surf reports, for general guidance only. Forecasts may be inaccurate. Check actual local conditions before entering the ocean and use the app at your own risk.
2. Subscriptions and purchases
Paid features are managed through Apple StoreKit and your Apple ID. Rocket Data does not store payment information. Features may include multi-day forecasts, ocean and weather data, and AI reports. Free and paid feature availability may change as the app evolves.
3. Location
Approximate location may be used in real time to suggest nearby locations and forecasts. It is not stored or linked to your identity and can be disabled in device settings.
4. Infrastructure and fair use
nextSurf relies on paid third-party forecast services. Access may be limited under heavy load or require a subscription for high-frequency or multi-day requests.
You may not automate requests, bypass subscription controls, excessively refresh, or copy and redistribute forecast data. Abuse may lead to rate limits, restriction or termination.
5. Third-party services
Providers can include NIWA, Stormglass, NOAA, ECMWF, WillyWeather and WorldTides. Their availability and data may change, and Rocket Data is not responsible for provider outages.
6. Intellectual property
App code, design, content and branding belong to Rocket Data or its licensors. They may not be copied, reproduced or distributed without written permission.
7. Liability and accuracy
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Rocket Data accepts no liability for loss, injury or damage arising from use of the app or reliance on forecast data. Ocean conditions change rapidly. Exercise your own judgement and consult local authorities when appropriate.
8. Changes and governing law
Terms may be updated at this URL. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. These terms are governed by New Zealand law and its courts.
